David (Chirico) is one of the most giving, selfless persons I’ve ever met. When I was active with nonprofits benefiting at-risk children and their families, David was always available to help with fundraisers and promote my causes. I have also attended a great number of his other Networking to Help Children events and have observed him interacting with the charities, attendees and vendors, all in an extremely caring, passionate–and professional way. He’s simply “The Best”.

Vivianne Hall, Communications & Events Pro 2/13/2014

I had the pleasure of meeting David Chirico three years ago. I sit on the Board for the PACE Center for Girls Palm Beach when someone had told us about David and how he gives back to the community by giving his time to support local charities. We approached David and he graciously volunteered to help support PACE Center for Girls by having a PACE night through Networking to Help Children.  Not only did he raise $600.00, it was at this event that we met a woman who owned an Olive Oil Company in Palm Beach Gardens. She held an event to raise money to purchase a kitchen for the girls. They now have a culinary program where a chef comes in and teaches them to cook. With the state budget cuts, this was an incredible gift to have received to help the center.

PACE is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 corporation that provides a non-residential delinquency prevention program in locations statewide, targeting the unique needs of females 12 to 17 who are identified as dependent, truant, runaway, delinquent, or in need of academic skills.

Its purpose is to intervene and prevent school withdrawal, juvenile delinquency, teen pregnancy, substance abuse and welfare dependency in a safe and nurturing environment. PACE programs provide the following services:  academic education, individualized attention, a gender-specific life management curriculum (SPIRITED GIRLS), therapeutic support services, parental involvement, student volunteer service projects and transition follow-up services.

Every girl at PACE sets individual educational and social goals that are focused on earning a high school diploma, re-entering public school, attending college, getting vocational training, joining the military or entering the private workforce.  After program completion, PACE continues to monitor each girl’s educational and personal development with three years of follow-up case management.

PACE operates 18 centers throughout Florida. Since its creation in 1984, PACE has served over 22,000 girls.

I find the social gatherings that you arrange for the small local community charities orientated to helping children and their families in challenging situations a way to connect with and learn about these special organizations and volunteer opportunities they offer. The casual restaurant environment provides an atmosphere that promotes friendly conversation and a way of meeting people who are engaged in helping people with special needs. I would recommend anyone who is looking to get involved with helping others through a charitable organization to attend your socials on a regular basis.

Thank you for all you do,

-Fred Kempel, Club 100 Charities President   11/26/13

As a longtime philanthropy editor in Palm Beach County, I know many of the charities involved with David’s Networking To Help Children events and how much they appreciate and benefit from the dollars raised. Often, $500,

$1,000 or $1,500 is enough to make a marked difference to the quality of programming an organization is able to offer to improve the lives of children and families. The fact that David is facilitating these fundraisers is a testament to his belief in using his skills, connections and place in the world to better the community in which he lives, works and plays.

As you know Operation Homefront is a “young” charity as these organizations go, having started from -0- and grown very quickly in the 12 years since 9/11.   The need to support military families and wounded warriors in transition has never been greater. In the past 9 months demand for our assistance has been over 300% of  all of last year.   Your “networking to help children” is an event we look forward to each year around Veterans Day week.   Knowing there a  recurring means for telling the story of the men and women we serve is an invaluable service that you do for us.   With only 5 staff in a 3 state region which serves over 500,000 service members and their 1.3 dependents and having the one of the country’s top 3 veterans’ population, every little bit helps.

-Simone Velasquez Hoover, Executive  Director Operation Homefront – Southeast, 11/23/13

I am happy to give credit where credit is due in the name of charity. As a fund raising board member of Hannah’s Home of South Florida and business owner I have witnessed David Chirico work tirelessly for the past 8 years that I have known him, to be instrumental in bringing business owners  together in the name of charity.

When business owners have a heart for childrens’ charities and can also network with other business owners for the same cause, it’s makes a wonderful symmetry. Not only does the charity of the month benefit from the exposure and funds raised, but the business owners find a common ground to begin to build relationships with other business owners. It’s a win win for everyone. Even the restaurants who partner with David to host the events get business from the attendees who end up staying for a nice dinner.

We at Hannah’s Home of South Florida are very grateful to David and only look forward to watch him continue to expand his horizons of helping childrens’ charities and build relationships with business owner.

David has an unique ability to create opportunities for area professionals to get a glimpse into the needs of Palm Beach County’s most vulnerable citizens.  Networking To Help Children has introduced me to a community of like-minded individuals that have made a profound difference in these children’s lives.  It’s true, it “takes a village” and our village is blessed to have David Chirico as one of its leaders.

-Kelly Fanelli, Membership Director Chamber of Commerce, 11/20/13

As a child advocate and a board member of Speak Up for Kids Palm Beach County I can only thank David for all his fine work to help us help children in need.

I have attended your Networking to Help Children events for quite a few years.  They are great events on many levels.  Simply as networking events they are beneficial.  They are easy to attend (no RSVP is required), low cost/good value, and are held at a variety of interesting locations.  There is always a good crowd of “regulars” and many new faces.  You have the participation of Realtors, people like me, who often markets to Realtors, and of a wide array of business people.    As you well know, networking is about building relationships, not grabbing business; however, I am certain that my business has benefitted repeatedly from the relationships that were begun or strengthened at one of the Networking to Help Children events.  I have also learned about many charitable organization at the events, that I was unaware of before.

On a deeper level, I have had the good fortune of having you hold these events for two organizations with which I am involved – Families First of Palm Beach County and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties.  In both cases, you raised about $1,000 for the organization (with barely any work on their part) and  you introduced new people to the organizations.

It’s really a great opportunity to “do some business” and at the same time, “do some good” for the community.   Way to go!!

I joined David Chirico’s BOB Networking Group about 6 months ago. I must say I am happy I did. Because of Dave, I started to work with non profit organizations. There is no better feeling than to help others. So far I have worked with 3 non-profits and feel I am helping and contributing to the less fortunate. I now know my niche. I love to help and give. Every event I have, I now give a portion to help a cause. I love what I do, and I am so grateful be able to help others.

Thank You David Chirico for showing me the way.

“For 25 years I was at the helm of an agency dedicated to helping local children with disabilities, where Dave Chirico became a steadfast supporter.

Coming out of retirement I started a new organization to help homeless children.  It wasn’t long before Dave included Family Promise in his Networking to Help Children initiative.  It meant the world that he had the faith in me to get behind a new small charity doing big things in the community!  We are grateful for all he does for children in our community!”

-Rhonda B. Clinton, Family Promise of North/Central Palm Beach County, Inc., 11/20/13

David Chirico, P.A. has introduced me to Networking to Help Children Charity Events. From these events I have met a great network of people who enjoy their profession and are involved with the community. I personally have donated and I truly enjoy the everlasting feeling from it. David is a great example for all of us, as the host of this selfless act of giving and community. Thank you!

-Rachel Friedman, Director of Marketing & Business Development atRudnick Dentistry, 11/19/13

I truly look forward to the charity events that David Chirico organizes. It is a testament to his selflessness to give of his time to organize such events.  The charities I know are grateful and so are the networkers who attend.  We all want to be a part of a charity and give of ourselves, but at the times we make too many excuses. By supporting David, I think we all feel as if we are part of his giving values.

David Chirico is an advocate of business professionals in the northern palm beaches. Whether he is connecting you to a new relationship or just exclaiming you are the best to someone else, David is the consummate promoter of others. So much so, that he sometimes forgets to remind you about his Real Estate practice.

David’s monthly Networking to Help Children events help me to interact with other charitably minded business professionals, to give back, and to make new connections. Each month we have an engaging organization that needs and deserves help. Without David’s coordination of these meetings many of us would not be aware of some of the great causes to support, right here in our back yard.

I have made valuable business connections because of David’s efforts and feel he is a great leader in our community and in his profession.

-Timothy J. Lyons, President Legacy Insurance of South Florida, Inc, 11/19/13

As a professional, David is as good as it gets. With regard to the community, David gives back more than most. It’s hard to find that type of combination these days. There aren’t many successful business people that take their community responsibility seriously. David has what it takes

Congratulations David!

The Network to Help Children is a wonderful opportunity for nonprofit organizations to connect with people in the community who are more likely to have an interest in our work.  It is also a great way to raise funds that can help us support the children we serve.  Network to Help Children recently featured Foster & Adoptive Parent’s Association, one of ChildNet’s contracted agencies that is vital in helping us to support the people who are our local heroes, foster and adoptive parents who open their hearts and homes to children brought into care because of abuse, abandonment and neglect. ChildNet is also excited to be a featured organization in March 2014.  I also attend the event to support the other nonprofits that serve the children in our community. David provides a vital service to nonprofits and the folks who come out to support and meet like-minded people.  Thank you, David.

Genesis Assistance Dogs, Inc. has been honored to be the recipient of funds raised from two Networking to the Help Children events.  These events were a great opportunity for people to learn about how our organization makes a difference in the life of people with disabilities, and for them to meet some of our clients with their dogs, and our dogs in training.  Genesis is very grateful to have been included in the fundraising efforts of Networking to Help Children.

THE   Networking To Help Children program is amazing for those of us who are trying to deliver programs for the youth, poor and homeless.   We know the specifics of what we can offer those in need but people like David knows an army of people who have similar passion, ideas and resources. One neat feature of the Networking to Help Children is that it (1) combines the presentation of an effective program,  (2) provides a networking environment, (3) brings like organizations together, and it (4) results in raising funding for worthy projects.  I belong to three Not for Profits each having community programs and in each case we were helped immensely.   Thanks David    Harry Drier, Board member, Club 100 Charities, inc

Through Networking to Help Children I was able to connect with Club 100 Charities which helps support, teach and encourage the underserved children in Palm Beach County. My husband, Sean O’Brien, is a professional wakeboarder with a very caring heart, and is looking forward to putting on a big show for the kids. Wakeboarding is a “cool” edgy sport and is something they may have never seen before (many have never been on boats or even gone to the beach despite being in Palm Beach County).

How meeting David Chirico, donating to his foundation, and networking at the same time has affected me personally and professionally.

As we all know, a charity is a way to give back to those in need and in any situation. His charity has made my message of helping others felt outside of such circle by other professionals. It has shown me that we, professionals, can step outside of our busy professions and make time to give and understand why we are giving – one can never go wrong or unnoticed by participating.

In reference to the networking aspect of attending his charity events, I must say that I do this to gather “intel” about what speaks to prospective clients, associates and what does not. It lets me know what I should improve on by gathering this information myself. Most importantly, I can make connections that will hopefully last a lifetime at the personal and professional level.

Because of the nature of marketing, it helps me drive people to my business, website, and other events. It helps me to convince people to get involved, not only in the charity, but also in my business.

It also, helps me get in touch with my “bleeding” side where I can convince others to increase their donations as a sign of goodwill and good relations. Sharing at the “Grass Roots Level” is the best way to gain business and garner good reputation in the area.

If it wasn’t for David’s charity event, a part of my business would have been cast in the shadows!

-Luis Saravia , Neptune Candidates, 11/18/13

Attending David Chirico’s Networking To Help Children events has been an opportunity not only to network in an enjoyable atmosphere, but also to give to others. The attendees are involved in their communities, and it is a privilege to get to know them better and to learn about area charitable organizations. I am thankful for David’s efforts and inspired and reminded to ‘give back’ myself.
